Job description

Aviation Recruitment experts Optime are searching for an experienced Turnaround Coordinator to join a well-respected and successful client in Gatwick Airport.

What's on offer:

  • Rate of pay: £15.26 per hour
  • Shift Pattern: 4 on 2 off, mixed shifts
  • Shift Timing: Example times below.

  • Temp to Perm (performance based.

PLEASE NOTE: APPLICANTS MUST HOLD A FULL VALID MANUAL UK DRIVING LICENCE.

Confirmed start dates:

  • ASAP Start Date.

Key Duties:

  • To ensure that our customer airlines depart and arrive safely and on time.
  • Driving the turnaround of each aircraft to achieve consistent on-time performance.
  • Liaising with all departments, our customer airlines and third party companies.
  • Ensure all information of the turnaround is recorded accurately to ensure we continue to drive high performance for our airline customers.
  • Understanding of Loadsheets, Weight and Balance and aircraft operational requirements.
  • Ensuring accurate baggage reconciliation and detailed Flight File paperwork.
  • Forward planning and liaising with Airfield operations during the turnaround to ensure that we are accurately updating the TOBT.
  • Making decisions in real time, whilst maintaining focus on safety.
  • Understanding and knowledge of customer Ground Operations Manuals, Dangerous Goods, Aircraft Safety, Airport Security, CAA and local airport procedures.

Shifts:

The Airport is operational 7 days per week and candidates will be working on a 4 on 2 off rolling rota. This could be subject to change!

Requirements:

  • Full UK Manual Driving Licence
  • Aviation Experience
  • Ability to work under time pressure and efficient prioritisation of tasks.
  • Highly motivated with the ability to problem solve and to use your own judgement.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to quickly and accurately react to any given situation.
  • Work well as part of a team, and as an individual.
  • Have a Right to Work in the UK.
  • Ability to pass a Criminal Record Check (CRC)
  • Behave as a role model, understanding and demonstrating best practice at all times.
