What are we looking for?

• Essential DBS check (we can support you if needed).
• Previous experience providing strategic guidance to similar organizations.
• Experience working in a charity, social enterprise, or business environment with finance/treasury skills.
• Ability to attend quarterly board meetings.
• A flexible approach and positive experience working in diverse environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

What will you be doing?

DanceSyndrome offers an exciting opportunity for Trustees to join our close-knit team. We are based in Lancashire with national and international reach, welcoming applications for remote Trustees, including those in Portugal and the Netherlands.

Trustees play a crucial role in shaping our organization, helping us stay aligned with our purpose, and providing ideas for growth. We seek Trustees who bring fresh perspectives and insights from their lived and professional experiences. Our Board aims to reflect the diversity of our work, participants, and supporters.

This volunteer role involves attending and contributing to the AGM and four quarterly Board meetings per year, mostly online, with occasional in-person meetings in the North West. Additional engagement in strategy work, subgroups, and representing the charity at events may also be part of the role.
