Leeds Survivor Led Crisis Service - Trustee Roles

Leeds Survivor Led Crisis Service is a vibrant, highly respected, and innovative charity that provides services to people in acute mental health crisis, offering alternatives to hospital admission or statutory services.

The Board of Trustees plays a crucial role in leading and guiding the organisation, upholding its vision and philosophy.

Trustee Responsibilities:

  1. Attend quarterly meetings, usually on Monday evenings.
  2. Participate in sub-committees and operational tasks such as staff recruitment, focus groups, and staff development sessions.
  3. Attend an annual trustee away day, typically on a Saturday.
  4. Shadow shifts, join team meetings, and engage in reflective practice sessions across services.

Current Vacancies:

  • Treasurer: Responsible for financial oversight, liaising with the finance team, chairing the finance subcommittee, and supporting financial reporting and audits. This role requires a commitment to regular meetings with the finance team.
  • Safeguarding Trustee: Attends quarterly safeguarding meetings, supports safeguarding reports, and handles significant safeguarding incidents. Experience or direct experience of emotional distress is especially valued.
