We are seeking a new trustee to join our board. Our vision is for everyone served by the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust (RFL) to have access to world-leading healthcare, delivered by a thriving workforce and driven by medical research with a global impact. We support over 17,000 staff and 2 million patients across Barnet, Chase Farm, North Mid, and Royal Free hospitals, along with more than 30 NHS services.
We act as a solution-focused strategic partner to the RFL, helping our hospitals to advance more rapidly than the NHS could alone. We believe funding decisions should be based on strategic priorities and impact, emphasizing co-production. Our investments include: enhanced patient support, vital staff support, groundbreaking research and innovation, and cutting-edge medical equipment. Our donors, fundraisers, and volunteers enable us to achieve this.
We are looking for a trustee with strong financial expertise, strategic thinking skills, and the ability to balance risk and opportunity. Excellent communication skills and the capacity to challenge both the executive and board colleagues collaboratively and with sound judgment are essential.
