Job summary

The High School Leckhampton invites applications for a Cleaner to maintain high standards of cleanliness across the school under the direction of the Cleaning Supervisor. Flexible hours from a few hours per week to full-time are available, with shifts in the early morning before 8:30am or evenings from 5:00pm onwards, Monday to Sunday.

You will perform general cleaning, sanitise restrooms, empty bins, clean windows, and restock supplies, while following procedures and health and safety

Qualifications

• Previous experience in commercial cleaning is preferred but not essential.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment usage.
• Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong time management skills to ensure efficient completion of duties.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, using scrubber dryer, dusting, and vacuuming.
• Clean and sanitise restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and mirrors.
• Empty bins and replace liners.
• Clean windows, glass surfaces, and mirrors.
• Maintain cleanliness in common areas and as directed.
• Follow cleaning procedures and protocols set by the Cleaning Supervisor.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations.
• Notify cleaning supervisor of any maintenance or repair needs.
• Restock cleaning supplies as needed.
