Job summary

Inspire Learning Trust, based in Rotherham, invites applications for two Trust Sports Centre Assistants to help run the Trust’s sports facilities at Oakwood High School and Thomas Rotherham College. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract with the potential to become permanent, requiring at least 12 hours per week across three days.

Shifts include mornings, evenings and weekends. Ideal candidates will hold a gym instructor/sport coaching or leisure qualification, be punctual and able to follow

• Requires gym/sport coaching or leisure industry qualification.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and punctuality; ability to follow HSE regulations.
• First aid qualification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operation of Trust Sports Facilities (Oakwood High School & Thomas Rotherham College).
• Assist with shift patterns and cover as required; available for peak-season hours.
• Contribute to safe and welcoming environment for learners and staff.

Inspire Learning Trust is a Multi Academy Trust based in Rotherham which also includes Oakwood High School, Sitwell Junior School, Thomas Rotherham College and Winterhill School.

Applications are invited for two Trust Sports Centre Assistants to support in the day to day running of the Trust Sports Facilities (including Oakwood High School and Thomas Rotherham College). Successful candidates will join us on a 12‑month fixed term contract with the potential to become permanent. Required days will typically be Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday with shifts outlined in the Job Description below. Whilst the Trust will make every effort to maintain a set working pattern, changes may be necessary to ensure service delivery and would be agreed with appropriate notice. There will be opportunity for additional hours during our peak season from September - March.

The successful candidate will ideally hold a gym instructor/sport coaching or leisure industry qualification, have excellent interpersonal skills, be punctual and able to follow HSE regulations. An up to date first aid qualification is desirable.

Typical shift patterns:

Monday: 08:30 - 13:30 OR 16:30 -21:30

Friday: 16:30 - 19:30

Saturday: 08:30 - 12:30 (during peak periods Oct-March this shift varies and may be extended to a latest end time of 19:00)
