Job Description:
You will manage client companies and undertake business development towards clients.
- Manage client interests: coordinate legal, administrative and banking activities for clients,
- Fully understand the client’s activities and ensure actions are consistent with the client company’s purpose and within legal and economic frameworks.
- Manage a complex portfolio of trusts in accordance with the Trust instrument, legislation, case law, and practice.
- Handle trust terminations following events like death of a life tenant, coming of age, or others, ensuring proper procedures.
- Manage estates where the company acts as executor/administrator or under a power of attorney, following relevant legislation.
- Develop existing and new business relations, expand client base, and seek referrals.
- Serve as the main contact for clients regarding day-to-day business matters.
- Coordinate tax, administrative, and banking issues of client companies.
- Supervise and coordinate work of paralegals and accountants, including documentation processing.
- Maintain responsibility for client files and ensure client companies are in good legal standing.
Qualifications and requirements:- Preferably a law or tax degree at university level,
- Good command of English,
- Good presentation and client-oriented skills,
- Several years of experience in a similar role, trust services, or law firm,
- STEP qualification or equivalent is a plus but not mandatory,
- Experience managing complex trust portfolios requiring legal, accounting, taxation, and investment knowledge,
- Experience in London is preferred,
- Advanced computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook),
- Problem-solving ability, proactive, independent worker but also a team player, excellent communication and organizational skills, stress-resistant, and able to meet tight deadlines.
