Applications are invited for a Trust Doctor (registrar level) in Renal Medicine and Transplantation.
This position is suitable for applicants seeking further experience in Renal Medicine, potentially to prepare for a training post.
The appointee will be exposed to all aspects of renal medicine, including renal replacement therapy (haemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, renal transplantation), acute kidney injury, and various nephrology sub-specialties. There is extensive teaching, training, audit, research opportunities, and practical procedures in nephrology.
The role aims to provide broad nephrology experience through ward work, on-call duties, formal teaching, academic meetings, journal club, and specialist clinics.
Renal medicine is demanding, with complex and sick patients. Despite busy wards and on-call duties, we have a strong team ethos, ensuring support and high-standard supervision.
