Job summary

Conwy County Borough Council is seeking a highways supervisor to oversee trunk road maintenance teams in the Open Spaces Trunk Road Operations Team. You will ensure timely completion of works, enforce safety standards, and coordinate with the Trunk Road Agent and contractors.

The role requires five years of highways experience, including trunk road operations, and willingness to work nights and weekends when needed. Welsh language skills are a nice-to-have.

• Prepare timely claims for the Trunk Road Agent.
• Lead and motivate staff and direct teams and individuals on technical matters.
• Occasionally work nights and weekends when trunk roads are quieter.
