Job summary

Millers Oils Ltd in Brighouse, West Yorkshire, is seeking a dedicated HGV Class 2 Delivery Driver to join its logistics team. You'll deliver and collect across pallet and bulk networks, with some night work and enhanced rates.

Responsibilities

• Achieve and maintain a safe working environment and comply with site rules.
• Complete deliveries and collections across pallet and bulk networks, including pumping bulk products as required.
• Deliver and collect IBCs and small goods; load/unload vehicles safely.
• Comply with drivers’ hours, tachograph and road traffic legislation; complete delivery documentation.
• Perform daily vehicle safety checks and defect sheets.
• Record any accidents, damage or discrepancies; report promptly.
• Support operations by moving goods between Brighouse and Scotland depots and assisting with loading.

HGV Class 2 Delivery Driver

Brighouse, West Yorkshire

• £14.04 per hour
• Full Time, Permanent

Our client, a leading name in the lubricant industry, is seeking a dedicated and experienced HGV Class 2 Delivery Driver to join its logistics team in Brighouse.

There will be a requirement to undertake some night work to meet customer and operational requirements. Hours worked during designated night shifts will be paid at an enhanced rate. Occasional overnight stays may also be required, for which our client will pay the applicable night-out allowance.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve and maintain a safe working environment, remain fully compliant with site rules, and maintain and wear personal protective equipment at all times.
• Complete deliveries and collections across pallet and bulk distribution networks, including pumping bulk products into customer storage tanks where required.
• Deliver and collect IBCs and small packed goods, loading and unloading vehicles safely in accordance with company procedures.
• Comply with drivers’ hours, tachograph and road traffic legislation, completing all delivery and collection documentation accurately.
• Complete daily vehicle safety equipment checks and defect sheets.
• Immediately report and record any road traffic accidents, property damage, failed deliveries or discrepancies, damage and errors involving customer orders at the point of loading or delivery.
• Label and unload all collected or returned products into designated areas as soon as possible; assist warehouse staff with customer order packing and loading; undertake night work and overnight stays; provide holiday cover at the Scotland depot; transfer goods between the Brighouse and Scotland depots; and complete any other reasonable duties required to support the Operations Department.

Qualification requirements

• A valid HGV Class 2 licence is essential.
• Manual handling qualifications or experience are essential.
• A Forklift Truck licence is desirable.
• Full compliance with all applicable current ADR regulations is desirable.
