Job summary

West Riding Recruitment is seeking an Appeals & Disputes Specialist to join a busy Revenues & Benefits team in Bradford. You’ll handle appeals and revisions, make decisions per legislation and Council policies, and present cases to Tribunals and other bodies.

You will communicate with customers and other organisations, prepare reports, and help improve processes while supporting colleagues. The role is based in Bradford and requires strong communication and numeracy skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in Appeals & Disputes.
• Experience presenting cases at Tribunal.
• Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Deal with appeals and revisions and make decisions in line with legislation and policies.
• Prepare reports, submissions and supporting documents.
• Present cases at Court or Tribunal when required.
• Keep up to date with relevant legislation and guidance.
• Help improve processes and provide advice to colleagues.
