The University of Leicester is seeking a self-motivated Trial Manager to oversee complex clinical trials. This role involves managing trial delivery, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with research standards. Join a dynamic team committed to impactful clinical research and staff wellbeing.
Leicester Clinical Trials Unit is undergoing an exciting period of expansion, with new job opportunities arising from an increasing portfolio of trials. We collaborate with nationally and internationally acclaimed investigators to deliver high-quality, impactful clinical research.
We are an ambitious unit, aiming to provide expert, solution-focused, and flexible support to our customers. Our staff are central to achieving this goal, and we’re looking for like-minded individuals to join our team.
We are currently seeking a self-motivated Trial Manager to manage and oversee the delivery of complex, multi-site clinical trials. Responsibilities include initiating, organizing, and administering trials, supervising a research administrator, and working proactively with a wider team of NHS clinical and academic staff to ensure high standards of research governance and timely, budget-compliant trial delivery.
The Trial Manager will provide expertise to maintain the smooth and effective running of research studies in accordance with study protocols, ethical and regulatory approvals, SOPs, GCP principles, and applicable EU Directives and UK legislation.
The ideal candidate will have proven project and line management skills, with an excellent understanding of clinical research and trial management methodologies.
You must be able to work independently, managing your workload and that of trial administration staff.
