Job summary

The Retail Partnership Ltd in Leicester is seeking a creative and commercially driven Childrenswear Designer to join a fast-paced, high-volume supplier working with the UK's leading high street retailers and supermarkets.

This role focuses on trend-led, fashion-forward childrenswear, translating creative concepts into commercially viable product ranges. You will be customer-facing, presenting designs to key accounts and collaborating with overseas teams, with a hybrid 2-3 days in the office.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a childrenswear design role.
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of the UK market.
• Excellent knowledge of trend forecasting, fabric innovation, colour, print and product development.

Responsibilities

• Design multi-product childrenswear ranges for a broad portfolio of leading UK high street retailers.
• Collaborate with the wider design team to develop commercially relevant seasonal collections.
• Proactively drive product development, responding quickly to market trends and customer requirements.
• Research and translate key trends across colour, print, graphics, fabric and styling into customer concepts.
• Create accurate technical packs with clear specifications for production.
• Present design concepts, ranges and developments to customers confidently.
• Collaborate with customers to understand vision, requirements and target market.
