Job summary

TRP Recruitment ltd is seeking a creative and commercially driven Children’swear Designer for a fast-paced supplier working with UK leading retailers. Based in Leicester with hybrid work, 2-3 days in the office weekly, you will design multi-product childrenswear ranges and translate trends into commercial product lines.

You will collaborate with design teams and overseas production, present concepts to customers, and stay ahead of market trends, fabric, print, and colour.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a childrenswear design role in a fast-paced supplier or high-volume retail environment.
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of the UK childrenswear market.
• Excellent knowledge of trend forecasting, fabric innovation, colour, print and product development.

Responsibilities

• Design multi-product childrenswear ranges for a broad portfolio of leading UK high-street retailers.
• Collaborate with the design team to develop seasonal collections inspired by the latest trends.
• Proactively drive product development, responding to market trends and customer requirements.
• Create detailed technical packs and ensure clear design specifications for production.
• Present design concepts and ranges confidently to customers.
• Collaborate with overseas design and production teams to maintain original design intent.
• Stay up to date with emerging childrenswear trends and retail direction.
