Job summary

Mansfield District Council is seeking a skilled Tree Officer to manage, protect and enhance the District’s tree stock, combining practical arboricultural work with planning responsibilities and public enquiries.

You will advise departments, residents and contractors on tree matters, respond to operational and emergency issues, coordinate contractors, and help shape the Council’s Tree Strategy while holding a full driving licence.

Qualifications

• Degree in Arboriculture or equivalent.
• Full driving licence required.
• Experience with statutory planning and arboricultural work desirable.

Responsibilities

• Advise on tree matters for council departments, residents and contractors.
• Respond to operational and emergency tree issues and enquiries.
• Coordinate external contractors and support the Tree Strategy.
