About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Systems Engineer Manager with knowledge of Findur or Endur Treasury Management System (TMS) to join our Treasury Technology team in the UK. As a Systems Engineering Manager, you will play a pivotal role in building and maintaining a high-performing team that consistently delivers quality outcomes, while empowering engineers to make their own technical decisions. You will work effectively with internal and external stakeholders and product teams to ensure the right outcomes, formulating the technical strategy and roadmap for the area.

About the Team

The Treasury Technology team is based across the UK and India, part of our wider Finance systems engineering team. The UK team focuses on enhancing our treasury system and developing a strategic roadmap for Findur, while the India team maintains current solutions. This role can be based in London Farringdon or Welwyn Garden City, with occasional travel to either office.

Responsibilities

• Formulate the technical strategy and roadmap for treasury technology to support business growth and maintain competitive advantage.
• Drive architecture, design, implementation, and reusability of technology, especially Findur, fostering innovation and excellence.
• Manage a small treasury engineering team, delivering the Treasury roadmap and developing high-performing teams.
• Ensure environment quality and process standards for high-quality system delivery.
• Ensure right product outcomes through appropriate technical strategies and trade-offs.
• Hire, retain, and develop engineers, providing growth opportunities and motivation.
• Establish a conducive development environment.
• Maintain processes, practices, and standards aligned with wider technology strategies.
• Evaluate and recommend products to meet business needs.
• Drive continuous improvement, data-driven practices, and empower engineers in technical decisions.
• Lead key system projects, including upgrades and infrastructure changes.
• Serve as subject matter expert for Treasury systems and interfaces.
• Design Treasury solutions within Treasury Management System with configuration and functional expertise.
• Manage change requests, testing, data validation, and deployment processes.
• Assist front, middle, and back-office teams with system issues and corrective actions.

Minimum Requirements

• Strong knowledge of Openlink Findur or Endur Treasury Management System, with hands-on experience and financial instruments.
• Experience with system upgrades, releases, and large-scale projects.
• Ability to analyze, debug, and customize Findur using AVS, JVS, and MS SQL Server.
• Understanding of system architecture, database, application, and network layers.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
• Experience with tools like Eclipse and MSSQL Server.
• Financial concepts understanding: P&L, accounting, taxes, financial instruments.
• Knowledge of operations concepts and project methodologies like Agile and Scrum.
• Experience managing small teams and resource management.
