Job summary

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership for the accurate and timely execution, settlement and lifecycle management of securities, OTC, FX and money market transactions.
• Act as a subject matter expert, providing guidance and support on complex transactions, operational processes and technical issues.
• Lead the investigation and resolution of complex exceptions, breaks and risk events, ensuring root causes are identified and sustainable solutions implemented.
• Oversee daily operational controls, ensuring robust governance, timely escalation and effective risk mitigation.
• Monitor and report on risk limits, control metrics and key operational risks, providing meaningful insights to senior stakeholders.
• Maintain effective relationships with counterparties, agents, custodians and internal stakeholders to ensure efficient transaction processing and issue resolution.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, strengthen controls and improve client outcomes.
• Contribute to operational change programmes, regulatory initiatives and strategic projects impacting the Group Managed Business function.
• Produce and present high-quality management information, operational reporting and risk metrics for business management, governance forums and control functions.
• Ensure operational processes remain aligned with internal policies, regulatory requirements and best practice standards.
• Support business continuity and resilience by proactively identifying risks, dependencies and potential operational vulnerabilities.

The team

You will be part of the Group Managed Business team based in Jersey, operating from UBS's state-of-the-art offices at the Jersey Financial Centre. The team plays a critical role in supporting the end-to-end operating model and platform of the Group Managed Business activities.

You will work closely with senior stakeholders across Operations, Risk, Finance, Treasury, Technology, Front Office and Control functions, both locally and internationally. The role provides significant exposure to a broad range of Treasury and Banking Products, operational processes and business initiatives, with opportunities to contribute to strategic change, governance and risk management activities across the wider organisation.

Your Skills And Experience

• Extensive experience within banking operations, investment operations, treasury operations or a related financial services environment.
• Strong knowledge of financial products including foreign exchange, money markets, securities and derivatives.
• A well-developed understanding of settlement, reconciliation, cash management and payment processes.
• Experience analysing and resolving complex operational issues, with a focus on identifying root causes and implementing sustainable solutions.
• Sound understanding of operational risk, financial risk, control environments and escalation frameworks.
• Experience producing management information, operational reporting and risk-based analysis for senior stakeholders.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently across multiple business and control functions.
• Advanced analytical capabilities and strong attention to detail, with the ability to interpret data and draw meaningful conclusions.
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills, with the ability to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Knowledge of SWIFT messaging and financial market infrastructure.
• Experience supporting regulatory, audit or control-related activities.
• Demonstrated ability to lead or contribute to change initiatives, process improvement programmes and operational transformation activities.
• Relevant professional qualifications (or progress towards obtaining them) such as CISI, ACT, ACCA, CFA or equivalent would be advantageous.
• A credible and respected professional who demonstrates strong ownership, accountability and sound judgement.
• A proactive leader of outcomes who takes responsibility for delivering high-quality results and driving issues through to resolution.

• Validating outputs and aligning with policies, risk standards and ethical use.
