Job summary

UBS in Jersey seeks a senior governance leader to drive oversight across the Group Managed Business, coordinating committees, risk assessments and control monitoring. You will interpret and present MI, challenge executives and align on strategic initiatives with HR, Legal, Compliance, Finance and IT.

You will lead governance programmes, regulatory deliverables and audits, partnering with senior stakeholders across Operations, Risk, Treasury and Technology to deliver change while maintaining risk

Qualifications

• 8+ years of banking experience with understanding of business models.
• Proven track record in COO-type functions.
• Strong networks across the Group, with the ability to engage key stakeholders.
• Experience leading teams and delivering change or transformation initiatives.
• Exceptional organisational skills across functions and priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own the preparation, interpretation and presentation of management information, financial performance & risk metrics, providing insight and challenge to support executive decision-making.
• Lead the coordination and delivery of strategic initiatives, governance programmes, regulatory deliverables and audit activities, ensuring alignment with business objectives and risk appetite.
• Partner with stakeholders, work with HR, Legal, Compliance, Business Risk, Finance and IT to align on priorities and outcomes.
• Provide oversight of internal and external outsourcing governance frameworks, ensuring effective supervision arrangements and regulatory compliance.
• Support the priorities and strategic goals of the business and key initiatives.
• Drive effective collaboration with stakeholders across Business Divisions and Group Functions.
• Champion opportunities to adopt best practices and assist in identifying and enhancing processes and procedures.
• Oversee issue management, support investigations and actions which manage risk to the business.
• Oversee intra and end of day control reporting and risk limits, ensuring accuracy and resolution is completed on a timely basis.

The team

You will be part of the Group Managed Business team based in Jersey, operating from UBS's state-of-the-art offices at the Jersey Financial Centre. The team plays a critical role in supporting the end-to-end operating model and platform of the Group Managed Business activities.

You will work closely with senior stakeholders across Operations, Risk, Finance, Treasury, Technology, Front Office and Control functions, both locally and internationally. The role provides significant exposure to a broad range of Treasury and Banking Products, operational processes and business initiatives, with opportunities to contribute to strategic change, governance and risk management activities across the wider organisation.

Your Skills And Experience

• Multiple years (8+) of experience in Banking, with a strong understanding of business models and key drivers.
• Established track record of leading business management, strategy delivery or COO-type functions.
• Proven ability to establish networks across the Group, with the ability to effectively engage key stakeholders.
• Experience managing teams and delivering change or transformation initiatives.
• Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to operate across functions and manage competing priorities in a structured way.
• Strong collaborative approach and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
