Job summary

Investec in London seeks a Treasury Financial Controller to maintain strong financial control and reporting across Central Treasury. You will own month-end activities, review hedge accounting outputs, and engage with senior stakeholders in Treasury, Finance and Risk to ensure accurate accounting and disclosures.

Qualifications

• Qualified Chartered Accountant with treasury/accounting experience.
• Experience performing balance sheet reconciliations and journal preparation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to explain data clearly.
• Excellent communication with finance and non-finance stakeholders.
• Experience identifying opportunities for process improvement and automation.

Responsibilities

• Own the review and substantiation of Treasury balance sheet accounts; ensure items are understood and resolved.
• Manage Treasury accounting feeds and interfaces into the General Ledger; resolve issues.
• Review month-end Treasury P&L; provide analysis and commentary to stakeholders.
• Review month-end hedge accounting outputs; ensure alignment with policies.
• Prepare and post month-end journals and Treasury financial statement disclosures.
• Partner with Treasury stakeholders to provide financial information and analysis for funding activities.
• Support Treasury's financial control environment, including daily hedge accounting and FX reporting.
• Identify opportunities to automate, simplify and strengthen Treasury accounting and reporting processes.
