Job summary

Niyaa People Ltd. in Peterborough is seeking a Treasury Accountant to lead day-to-day treasury operations and cash management in a hybrid role. The package includes a £60,000 salary and a strong benefits offering within a leading social housing provider.

You will produce cash flow forecasts, manage debt facilities and contribute to long-term funding strategies alongside a collaborative finance team. CCAB qualified candidates with 3+ years post-qualification experience are preferred.

Qualifications

  • CCAB Qualified Accountant status.
  • Minimum of three years' post-qualification experience.
  • Strong treasury experience, ideally within the social housing sector.
  • Experience managing cash flow forecasting, debt portfolios, and covenant compliance.
  • Excellent knowledge of treasury controls, financial reporting, and risk management.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with strong analytical and financial modelling abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information to a range of stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day treasury function, daily cash balances and liquidity.
  • Produce cash flow forecasts, treasury reports and long-term planning.
  • Prepare statutory accounts, lender returns, and financial reporting.
  • Monitor debt facilities, covenant compliance, and funding agreements.
  • Maintain treasury records, reconciliations, bank mandates, and signatory controls.
  • Support treasury stress testing, scenario modelling and refinancing activities.
  • Maintain security charging information and support future funding capacity.
  • Build strong relationships with banks, funders, auditors, legal advisers and internal stakeholders.
  • Produce reports for the Board, Committees and regulatory bodies.

I’d love to hear from anyone with experience as a Treasury Accountant, Treasury Analyst, Treasury Manager, Finance Manager, Financial Accountant, or Finance Business Partner, particularly within social housing, public sector, or another regulated environment.

In this position, you will be:

  • Managing the day-to-day treasury function as a Treasury Accountant, including daily cash balances and liquidity requirements.

I’d love to speak to anyone who has:

  • Previous experience working as a Treasury Accountant or in a similar treasury-focused finance role.
  • CCAB Qualified Accountant status.
  • A minimum of three years' post-qualification experience.
  • Strong treasury experience, ideally within the social housing sector.
  • Experience managing cash flow forecasting, debt portfolios, and covenant compliance.
  • Excellent knowledge of treasury controls, financial reporting, and risk management.
