Job summary

ACS Staffing Solutions in Wellingborough is seeking an experienced Tray Former Minder/Supervisor to operate and learn the Tray Former machinery while supervising the production team on rotating day shifts.

You will ensure schedules, quality, and safety, manage staffing, assist with trials, and complete production documentation as the business trains you to develop into a specialist packaging role.

Qualifications

• Previous machine-minding or machine-operating experience.
• Previous supervisory, team leader or management experience.
• A practical, hands-on approach.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good communication and team-working skills.
• A proactive approach to problem solving.
• The ability to organise and support a production team.
• A strong focus on quality, safety and meeting deadlines.
• A willingness to learn new machinery and develop technical skills.

Responsibilities

• Operating and learning to operate Tray Former machinery.
• Supervising and supporting the production team.
• Ensuring production schedules are completed on time and to customer specification.
• Monitoring the quality of finished packaging.
• Managing staffing levels and allocating work across the team.
• Supporting colleagues with day-to-day production requirements.
• Assisting with trials for new packaging projects.
• Completing production and traceability documentation.
• Ensuring daily machinery maintenance and department routines are completed.
• Maintaining high standards of housekeeping, quality and health and safety.
• Identifying and resolving production issues.
• Working closely with management to achieve production targets.
