Avery Healthcare Group Ltd. is seeking a regional chef to lead the kitchen across multiple elderly care homes in the north. The role involves travel between locations to supervise and train staff, ensuring nutritionally balanced meals and compliance with food safety standards.

Reporting to Home Managers, you will plan menus, place orders within budget, manage stock, and maintain records for inspections. A DBS check is required and qualifications in catering are essential.

Qualificações

• NVQ 3 in Food Production or equivalent
• City and Guilds 706-1 and 706-2 Catering qualifications
• Training in IDDSI and textured modified diets

Responsabilidades

• Manage and guide the culinary team to provide nutritionally balanced, high-quality meals within budget
• Prepare menu plans for Home Manager approval, accounting for special dietary needs and keeping records for inspection
• Place food orders with approved suppliers within authority and budget limits, maintaining stock levels and control
• Supervise and direct kitchen staff and the Host team
• Instruct unqualified staff in simple food preparation
• Apply the Avery Food Safety Management system and safe food handling to keep hygiene to the highest standards
• Travel to various homes across the north
