Job description

Routescape is a dynamic and rapidly expanding luxury tailor‑made travel company that prides itself on creating unique and exceptional journeys for our predominantly US‑based clients. Originally focused on Great Britain and Ireland, we are now expanding to offer mainland Europe, initially in France and Italy.

This role presents an exciting opportunity to join our high‑performing Travel Sales Specialist Team in a vital support position. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day‑to‑day function of the team, assisting with client communications, proposal preparation, pricing and system updates.

You will be proactive and motivated, with a positive ‘can‑do’ attitude, a desire to learn and contribute, and a willingness to be part of a supportive, fast‑paced and values‑driven culture.

This role requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and an ability to multitask and work well under pressure. Travel experience is desirable, however a passion for travel is essential.

This is a full‑time, office‑based role located in our beautiful offices opposite the world‑renowned Pembroke Castle in Pembrokeshire. On‑the‑job training will be provided, and this is an excellent opportunity to grow into a future Sales Specialist role within our team.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Supporting the Travel Sales Specialist Team in managing and prioritising daily tasks to ensure smooth enquiry handling.
  • Writing first response emails to clients and supporting correspondence on behalf of Travel Sales Specialists.
  • Preparing client‑facing proposals and final itineraries.
  • Pricing and repricing trips accurately, working within internal guidelines and client expectations.
  • Updating and maintaining client data in Peak 15 (travel management system), including proposals and bookings.
  • Producing sales team KPI reports to monitor and report on team performance against daily, weekly and monthly targets.
  • Providing administrative support to the Travel Sales Specialist Team, including documentation, scheduling and internal organisation.
  • Managing client communication on behalf of Travel Sales Specialists during annual leave or absence.
  • Updating the Travel Sales Team Manual, ensuring all procedures and policies are documented and updated.
  • Liaising with the Travel Operations team on behalf of the Travel Sales Specialist to ensure trips are handed over effectively and any changes are reflected in the clients’ itinerary.
Skills and Experience:
  • Previous experience in a sales support, admin or customer‑facing role, preferably in the travel industry.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organization skills with great attention to detail.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Familiarity with CRM or travel management systems such as Peak 15 (or ability to learn quickly).
  • A proactive attitude and a strong team player willing to support across all areas of the sales process.
  • Previous experience supporting a luxury or bespoke travel team.
  • Understanding of travel logistics and destinations within the UK and Europe.
  • Experience with reporting on team KPIs or sales metrics.
What We Offer You:

A competitive salary of up to £26,250 is available for the right candidate who has strong administrative and communication skills, strives to support the sales team to deliver against our Team sales target and has the potential to grow within our business.

In addition, you will enjoy:

  • A generous Sales Commission based on achieving Individual and Team Sales Targets
  • Royal London Pension
  • Excellent working environment in our offices opposite the historic Pembroke Castle
  • Staff rate at Grove of Narberth Hotel and Penmaenuchaf Hotel
  • Friend and family rates at Grove of Narberth Hotel and Penmaenuchaf Hotel
  • 30% off food and beverage across the Seren collection group of businesses
  • Future career growth opportunities
  • Employee Assistance Programme through Hospitality Action
Do You Want to Be Part of Our Journey?

If so, we would love to hear from you. Please forward your application with a covering letter and CV to our Chief Operating Officer, Rachel Coffey at rachel.coffey@routescape.com.
