Job summary

Active England Tours Limited is looking for a Content Marketing Executive to craft engaging travel stories and drive social growth across our channels. You’ll own day‑to‑day posting, write compelling copy, and shape content across blogs, email, PR and campaigns.

You’ll collaborate with the Visual Content Lead, Marketing Manager and partners, delivering sharp content for our UK & Ireland destinations and experiences. A fast‑paced, creative role with a strong travel focus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience managing social media accounts for a brand, agency, or publisher.
• Proven success in growing Instagram audiences and increasing engagement through organic content.
• Ability to write excellent short and long‑form copy.
• An eye for photography and video with fast edits.
• Excellent understanding of social media platforms incl. Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube.
• Creative thinking, enthusiastic and professional attitude.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills; proactive and reliable.
• Flexible, organised and able to work under deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage all Active England and Adventure by AE social media channels, including planning, publishing and day‑to‑day oversight.
• Execute a content strategy to grow followers, increase engagement and strengthen brand presence.
• Write blogs with expertise and authority as briefed by the Marketing Manager.
• Monitor community interactions, respond appropriately and foster an authentic audience.
• Plan larger shoots with the Visual Content Lead and deliver the seasonal content calendar.
• Collaborate with PR consultant to deliver related activity.
• Track performance against growth/engagement targets and report insights.
• Identify emerging formats and trends to keep visual output fresh.
• Source content and support broader marketing initiatives with internal teams and external partners.
