Job summary

Travel Trade Recruitment is seeking a Senior Travel Consultant to specialise in Japan for a luxury tour operator. The role is UK-based with fully remote work and 3 weeks of office-based training, delivering unrivalled customer experiences across diverse budgets and interests.

You will use deep knowledge of Japan to craft tailor-made itineraries, manage end-to-end bookings and build strong client relationships while aiming for sales targets and rewarding incentives and familiarisation trips.

Qualifications

• Experience of living and/or working in Japan is essential.
• Excellent knowledge of Japan as a travel destination.
• At least two years working for a luxury Tour Operator specialising in Japan.
• Highly organised, productive and able to work accurately under pressure.
• Confident communicator with excellent customer service skills.
• Self-motivated, driven and determined to achieve sales targets.

Responsibilities

• Consult with customers to understand their holiday requirements.
• Create high-quality, tailor-made Japan itineraries based around each customer's needs.
• Manage the full booking process, ensuring every detail is delivered accurately and efficiently.

An award-winning tour operator offering unique group tours, tailored travel, and cultural experiences is seeking a passionate Senior Travel Consultant to specialise in Japan. You will offer unrivalled customer experience, whatever the customer budget or personal interests, creating holidays that give people the chance to experience both the popular and little-known aspects of Japanese culture. This role will consider fully remote working (UK based only), with 3 weeks office based training. Experience wise, you will be already be a highly experience Travel Consultant, working for a luxury Tour Operator, with extensive knowledge of Japan

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Consult with customers to understand their individual holiday requirements.
• Create high-quality, tailor-made Japan itineraries based around each customer's needs.
• Manage the full booking process, ensuring every detail is delivered accurately and efficiently.
• Build strong customer relationships and provide exceptional service throughout.

• Prioritise and manage multiple bookings and enquiries effectively.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Experience of living and/or working in Japan is essential, together with a genuine passion for the destination.
• Excellent knowledge of Japan as a travel destination.
• At least two years (current or recent) working for a luxury Tour Operator specialising in Japan)
• Highly organised, productive and able to work accurately under pressure.
• Confident communicator with excellent customer service skills.
• Self-motivated, driven and determined to achieve sales targets.

PACKAGE:

• Uncapped commission - expected OTE of £5,000 in year one, rising to £16,000 from year three.
• 25 days annual leave, increasing by 1 day per year to a maximum of 28 days
