Job summary

Middlesbrough College is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Hourly Paid Lecturer in Travel & Aviation to deliver engaging, industry-relevant learning experiences for learners aged 16-18 and adults. The role focuses on preparing students for careers in travel and aviation, with responsibilities spanning planning, delivery, assessment and curriculum development.

The post requires either Qualified Teacher Status or willingness to achieve it, plus relevant degree qualifications and GCSEs.

Qualifications

• Must hold Qualified Teacher status or be willing to work toward it.
• Degree qualification or equivalent in a relevant field.
• GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Deliver industry-relevant Travel & Aviation lessons to inspire learners.
• Plan and deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment programmes.
• Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback to support achievement.
• Maintain accurate learner records and ensure compliance with awarding body standards.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum and support recruitment and learner engagement.
