Job summary

At TUI, you’ll join the Retail Team in Newcastle Kingston Park as an Apprentice Travel Advisor, beginning a two-year Level 3 Travel Consultant Apprenticeship to become a destination expert. You’ll learn to sell holidays and other products while putting customers at the heart of the business.

Your role supports varying shift patterns, embraces change, and provides training on systems to help you deliver memorable holidays and excellent service to customers.

Qualifications

• Good knowledge of excellent customer service and a genuine passion to work within tourism.
• Dedicated to achieve goals and a Level 3 Travel Consultant qualification.
• Self-motivated and willing to act on feedback, remaining positive when faced with challenges.
• Willing to embrace change and adapt to new ways of working.
• A team player who engages and collaborates with our customers and colleagues.
• An organised individual who takes pride in their work and communicates effectively.
• Grade 9–4 GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths.
• Able to work a varied shift pattern each week in-line with shop opening and closing times.

Responsibilities

• Inspire customers and colleagues with your passion for travel while having fun.
• Aim to exceed sales and objectives; in Retail we call it smashing your targets.
• Embrace change and handle customer-focused, face-to-face and virtual interactions.
• Collaborate with colleagues to investigate and resolve questions or complaints.
• Receive training on a variety of systems to enhance knowledge and skills for memorable holidays.
• Complete practical and written assignments via online learning with support from manager and learning coach.
