Job summary

TUI in Darlington is recruiting an Apprentice Travel Advisor to join our Retail Team. The two-year scheme builds you into a destination expert, selling holidays, cruises, UK breaks and extras while supporting you toward a Level 3 Travel Consultant qualification.

You’ll work varied hours, including weekends and evenings, with strong customer service at heart and dedicated learning support to help you succeed.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths (grade 9–4) or equivalent.
• Genuine passion for tourism and excellent customer service.
• Willingness to learn and achieve a Level 3 Travel Consultant qualification.
• Ability to work a varied shift pattern including weekends and evenings.
• Team-oriented and able to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Inspire customers and colleagues with enthusiasm to sell holidays, cruises, UK breaks and extras.
• Aim to exceed sales targets within a face-to-face and virtual retail environment.
• Embrace change and adapt to new systems and processes as technology advances.
• Collaborate with colleagues to investigate and resolve questions or complaints.
• Complete practical and written apprenticeship assignments with support from learning coach.
• Work towards achieving the Level 3 Travel Consultant qualification.
