Job description

Travel and Transport Assistant 8158 | Permanent contract | £25,584 to £27,269 per annum (Scale E) | 37 hours per week | County Hall, Norwich

We are looking for a committed individual to join our busy passenger transport team, providing administrative and day-to-day support across the team.

The team is responsible for passenger transport across Norfolk - local bus services, home to school transport, social services transport. This role will primarily be dealing with helping to manage disruption on the highway and communication with transport operators, highways teams and other stakeholders. As part of a small team this will involve working alongside staff in highways who issue permits for roadworks and ensuring disruption to transport is kept to a minimum.

The work is busy but rewarding and we need individuals who can juggle different tasks throughout each day, whilst always offering excellent customer service. You would also need to have a good attention to detail and a positive attitude, especially as no two days are the same.
