Job summary

A leading service provider in the UK seeks a travel expert to coordinate travel arrangements for Armed Forces personnel. This role involves managing bookings, liaising with external agencies, and ensuring compliance with policies. Job Overview

Join our dynamic Base Administration Office team at MOD Lyneham and become the trusted travel expert for the Armed Forces personnel. In this pivotal role, you'll manage and coordinate a wide range of travel arrangements, ensuring smooth journeys for personnel who serve our nation. You'll be the central point of contact for all travel needs, using an online booking system and working closely with external agencies, booking companies, and budget holders. This position offers variety, with opportunities to rotate through different responsibilities and gain new skills—full training provided. Main Duties
  • Provide a dedicated focal point for the personnel administration, including direct customer interface and liaison with supervisor and manger.
  • Arrange Travel in line with requests, utilising online booking systems, liaising with booking companies, budget holders and customers.
  • Collate and maintain budgetary related information, ensuring the most cost‑effective means of travel is booked.
  • Protect personnel data.
  • Data input utilising various online systems.
  • Ensure all activities are carried out in line with Defence Polices, H&S regulations and General Data Protection Regulations.
  • Undertake any additional tasks as determined by the Line Manager, including support/cover for other staff in times of absence.

  • Credible verbal and written communicator with the ability to develop close working relationships.
  • IT literate with a good working knowledge of MS Office applications, is a must.
  • Abilities to manage short notice changes to requirements and deadlines.
Additional Information

MOD Security clearance and DBS Standard is requirement, as well as Proof of right to work in UK.

37.5 hour working week between 0800 and 1630 Mon to Fri only.

Required to wear approved company uniform.
