Job summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is recruiting a Consultant in Trauma and Orthopaedics with a specialist interest in Lower Limb Trauma and/or foot and ankle surgery. The post supports high-quality elective and trauma care in a busy Orthopaedic department across major hospitals including QEUH, Gartnavel and Victoria ACH.

Qualifications

• GMC registration and licence to practise are required.
• UK training with evidence of higher specialist training (CCT/CESR) or CESR eligibility.
• Non-UK applicants must demonstrate equivalent training.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality trauma and orthopaedic care with a focus on lower limb trauma and/or foot and ankle surgery.
• Perform elective and trauma surgery, and run outpatient clinics.
• Participate in on-call rota and supervise junior medical staff.
• Engage in clinical governance activities and administrative duties of a consultant post.
