Job summary

NHS Lanarkshire is seeking a Band 4 Generic Assistant Practitioner to join the Trauma and Orthopaedic Physiotherapy Team at University Hospital Wishaw. The role requires one Saturday every four weeks as part of a rolling rota, with additional shifts to cover annual leave and sickness.

You will manage a delegated clinical caseload, assess, progress and discharge patients, and plan a range of therapeutic activities in line with set protocols. A driving licence is required.

Qualifications

  • Must have a driving licence (UK/EU/EEA) and relevant health/ social care qualification.
  • Knowledge of the therapeutic process, techniques and activities.
  • Awareness of health legislation relevant to the clinical area.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a delegated clinical caseload of patients.
  • Assess, implement, progress treatment and discharge per protocols.
  • Plan and prioritise delegated patient caseload.
