Job summary

Key Unlocking Futures, part of Progress Housing Group, is seeking a Children and Young People’s Outreach Worker in Leyland. You will provide trauma-informed support to children and families affected by domestic abuse, managing a varied caseload and creating safety plans to promote wellbeing and resilience.

Qualifications

  • Experience of supporting children and young people through one-to-one, family and group work.
  • Strong safeguarding and risk-assessment skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with parents and carers.
  • Experience of Early Help processes and effective partnership working with statutory, voluntary and community services.
  • Clear, accurate record-keeping skills, including case notes and reports.

Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate, trauma-informed one-to-one and group support.
  • Manage a varied caseload and assess risk with personalised safety plans.
  • Collaborate with statutory and voluntary partners to access right support.
  • Engage in outreach, early intervention and awareness-raising activities.
  • Empower survivors to rebuild confidence and independence.
