Job summary

Phoenix Domestic Abuse Services is seeking a Victim Safety Officer to provide person-centred, trauma-informed support to adults, children and families affected by domestic abuse. The role will focus on reducing risk, promoting safety, and helping victims build confidence, resilience and independence through individual and group work.

The post is 35 hours per week, office-based, typically 9:00–17:00 with occasional evenings to meet service needs.

Qualifications

• Experience in safeguarding or domestic abuse context preferred.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Ability to work with diverse staff and service users.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to victims of domestic abuse across all genders and risk levels.
• Develop safety plans and carry out risk assessments with service users.
• Coordinate with multi‑agency partners to ensure coordinated support and safeguarding.
