Job summary

SuperHiring is seeking a Team Leader for an Ofsted Registered Children’s Residential Home in Eastbourne. The role oversees safe, effective running of shifts, guiding support staff and ensuring high care standards for children aged 4–16 with complex needs.

You will lead on safeguarding, care planning, and collaboration with families and professionals while promoting trauma-informed, child-centred care within a 24/7 residential setting.

Qualifications

• Experience working within residential childcare.
• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent (essential).
• Strong safeguarding knowledge and professional boundaries.
• Ability to remain calm and make effective decisions under pressure.
• Willingness to work toward Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts and ensure safe, effective running of the home during your shift.
• Direct Coaches and Senior Coaches for performance and conduct.
• Ensure care plans, risk assessments and Positive Behaviour Support strategies are followed.
• Handle safeguarding concerns, incident response and decisions on shift.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Collaborate with families, social workers and external professionals.
• Support induction, coaching and development of staff.
