Henley House, a Salutem Care and Education provision, is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to provide nurturing care for young people with diverse emotional and developmental needs. You will support routines, education, activities, and family contact, building trustful relationships in a warm home environment.

Qualifications

  • Caring, empathetic and emotionally resilient, able to stay calm under pressure.
  • Calm, thoughtful communicator who can build trust quickly.
  • Organised, reliable and flexible in shifting routines.
  • Passionate about supporting young people to overcome challenges and thrive.
  • Committed to working towards (or already holding) Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (England).

Responsibilities

  • Deliver personalised, trauma-informed care that meets the individual needs of each young person
  • Support daily routines, education, activities, and family contact
  • Build meaningful relationships through empathy, consistency, and effective communication
  • Contribute to key working sessions, handovers, and accurate record-keeping
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, social workers, and other professionals
  • Undertake sleep-in shifts and flexible working hours to meet the needs of the home
  • Identify and report risks, safeguarding concerns, and opportunities for improvement
