Job summary

Mysa Care is recruiting compassionate Support Workers for a new service in Farnborough. The role focuses on assisting individuals with trauma and mental health needs, promoting independence, and delivering practical and emotional support using a trauma-informed approach.

Full training is provided. The role requires flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, with strong communication and safeguarding commitments to support vulnerable individuals.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided.
• A positive, proactive and patient attitude.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage challenging situations with empathy and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Build trusting relationships with individuals to create a safe, supportive environment.
• Provide practical support with daily living, including personal care and meals.
• Implement individualised support plans and positive behaviour strategies.
• Manage and de-escalate challenging behaviours calmly and professionally.
• Promote community inclusion by supporting individuals in social, leisure, and educational activities.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to reviews of care plans.
• Work collaboratively with families, caregivers, and other professionals.
