Job summary

Aberlour is seeking a Supervising Social Worker to recruit, assess and supervise Foster Carers across Scotland. You will work with looked-after children and young people, coordinating with local authorities and providing support to carers in a dynamic, home-based role with travel to meet carers and agencies.

You will need a recognised social work qualification and SSSC registration, plus experience in Children’s services. A full UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold a recognised social work qualification and SSSC registration.
• Experience in Children's services is essential.
• Knowledge of fostering regulations and legislation.
• Full UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, assess and supervise a group of foster carers.
• Liaise with placing Local Authority and support carers.
• Contribute to delivery and development of the Fostering Service.
• Evening and weekend work may be required; on-call rota.
