Job summary

The City of Edinburgh Council is seeking a qualified Social Worker to join the Southeast Thrive and Mental Health and Substance Use teams in Edinburgh, delivering trauma-informed, relationship-based social work to adults with mental health or substance use needs.

You will undertake statutory tasks including assessments, support planning, risk assessment and carer assessments, in a multidisciplinary setting, with supervision and training to ensure high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Qualified Social Worker with registration.
• Experience in trauma-informed and strengths-based practice.
• Ability to assess risk and support planning in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Undertake statutory assessments and support planning.
• Conduct risk assessments and risk management.
• Carry out Carers’ assessments.
• Work within multidisciplinary teams to support adults, families and carers.
• Provide advice, guidance and, if needed, interventions when adults are at risk.
