Job summary

Happy Days UK is seeking a Service Manager for Jubilee House and the Winter Shelter in Halifax. The role covers day-to-day operational management, leading staff teams, and delivering high-quality, trauma-informed housing and support services to residents.

You will supervise the Complex Lives Coordinators, ensure safety and compliance, and work to promote independence and positive outcomes for residents, with flexible hours including evenings and weekends as required.

Qualifications

• Experience of managing homelessness, supported housing or complex needs services.
• Experience supporting people experiencing homelessness, substance misuse, mental ill-health or multiple disadvantage.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed, harm-reduction and psychologically informed approaches.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operational management of Jubilee House and the Winter Shelter.
• Oversee delivery of high-quality support and housing-related services across both sites.
• Ensure services operate safely and in line with trauma-informed principles.
• Provide line management and supervision to staff, including Complex Lives Coordinators.
• Monitor performance, safeguarding, and risk across both services.
