Job summary

Blackburn with Darwen Council is seeking an enthusiastic Social Worker to join the Safeguarding Adults Team in Adults. You will promote person-centred practice, provide professional advice, and work across multi-agency partners to improve outcomes for adults at risk.

This permanent role, 37 hours per week, supports complex cases within the Complex Lives Partnership, requires registration with Social Work England, and offers a supportive learning environment with supervision.

Qualifications

• Qualified and registered Social Worker with Social Work England.
• Able to work within Making Safeguarding Personal framework.
• Experience in adult social care and safeguarding principles.

Responsibilities

• Be a qualified and registered Social Worker with Social Work England.
• Instil a culture of person-centred practice within a learning environment.
• Embed the 6 key safeguarding principles under Care Act 2014 and MCA 2005.
• Provide professional social work advice and guidance across teams and partners.
• Coordinate team learning activities and joint delivery with partners.
• Promote independence, dignity and respect for service users and carers.
