Job summary

Darlington Borough Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker with highly developed safeguarding adults expertise. You will triage concerns, complete initial enquiries, prepare s42 enquiry reports and chair safeguarding meetings.

As a Senior Practitioner, you will provide formal and informal supervision to team members and support the team manager when required. The role offers a comprehensive benefits package including generous annual leave and pension options.

Qualifications

• Qualified social worker with safeguarding expertise.
• Experience delivering s42 enquiries and safeguarding casework.
• Knowledge of Care Act 2014, MCA 2005, HR Act 1998 and related frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Triage safeguarding concerns and complete initial enquiries.
• Prepare s42 enquiry reports and chair safeguarding meetings.
• Provide professional supervision to team members (formal and informal).
• Support the team manager as required.
