Job summary

Excelcare Holdings in Histon, Cambridgeshire, is hiring a Support Worker for a residential children’s home for ages 6-17. You will join a dedicated team delivering trauma-informed care, supporting physical, emotional and social development while keeping children safe.

The role is full-time and permanent, with pay at £14.50 per hour plus occasional sleep-ins, breaks and meals. Training and career development are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children, young people or vulnerable groups.
• Willingness to complete Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare.

Responsibilities

• Work front-line with a team to create a safe, nurturing environment for children.
• Support children to build relationships and develop independence and education.
• Ensure compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations and safeguarding policies.
