Job summary

Five Rivers Child Care Ltd in Orpington seeks a Residential Child Care Worker for Clannad House. You’ll support children in a safe home, build trusted relationships, and help with daily routines, activities, and record-keeping.

No prior residential childcare experience needed; full training will be provided, including Level 3 Diploma training. Role involves overnights (sleep-ins) paid at £50 per night, with potential earnings outlined.

Qualifications

• No prior residential childcare experience required; full training provided.
• Willing to complete DBS checks and safeguarding requirements.
• Valid driving licence is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support children and young people in a safe, nurturing home environment.
• Build positive relationships and act as a consistent role model.
• Assist with daily routines, activities, and new experiences.
• Help with meals, household routines, and record-keeping.
• Work with residential, education, clinical, and other professionals as a team.
• Contribute to a trauma-informed, therapeutic approach to care.
