Greenleaf House in Biggar, United Kingdom is seeking staff to support young people with trauma through a therapeutic, holistic care approach. You will join a unique team, providing compassionate care, safeguarding, and structured routines within a 24/7 residential setting.

Salary is competitive with enhanced overtime opportunities and comprehensive benefits. The role requires experience in residential settings, strong teamwork, communication skills, and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in a residential children’s home.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Understanding safeguarding and child protection.
• Ability to work shifts, including weekends, sleepovers and long hours.
• Full UK manual driving licence and be eligible for company car insurance.
• Willingness to complete SVQ 3 and HNC in social care or related subject.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and support to children and young people in line with policies.
• Contribute to assessment processes and delivery of support programmes.
• Attend planning and review meetings and participate in a key-person system.
• Ensure quality recording of information per policies and regulations.
• Work within a shift system including sleepovers.
• Undertake health and safety checks and other safety checks as needed.
• Engage in ongoing training and personal development.
• Implement de‑escalation and crisis intervention strategies as required.
