Job summary

Cambian Group Plc is seeking an Assistant Mental Health Practitioner to support its Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE) service across Shropshire. The role involves coordinating assessments, delivering psycho-educational work, and training teams within a safeguarding framework.

You will work under supervision with clinical professionals, travel to multiple sites, and contribute to trauma-informed recovery for young people at risk of exploitation.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children/young people
• Psychology degree or related subject
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of psychometrics and data gathering
• Understanding of trauma-informed practices and attachment-based approaches e.g. PACE
• Compassionate approach to engaging teenagers
• Team player with good communication
• Driving licence and own vehicle for travel to sites
• Understanding of CSE
• Keen to learn and develop

Responsibilities

• Co-ordinate information and write assessment reports under supervision
• Develop and deliver psycho-educational interventions
• Develop and deliver training to residential and education teams
• Support professionals with consultations/meetings and note-taking
• Undertake literature reviews to inform practice
