Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a Level 2 Teaching Assistant for a full-time, long-term role at a primary SEMH school in Shenstone. You will support pupils with SEMH needs, ASC, and communication challenges, following bespoke behaviour and risk management plans.

The position starts in September, leading to a permanent role for the right candidate. Benefits include CPD via My-Progression and a supportive consultant team; salaries are market-leading for the sector.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting primary-aged pupils with SEMH needs and behaviours that challenge.
• Experience supporting pupils with ASC and communication and interaction difficulties.
• Trauma-informed practice and attachment theory understanding.
• Good curriculum knowledge and understanding of how sensory and social-emotional needs impact engagement.

Responsibilities

• Support primary-aged pupils with SEMH needs on a daily basis.
• Follow bespoke behaviour, support and risk management plans.
• Work within a trauma-informed school environment.
