Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting Learning Support Assistants for a specialist alternative provision in Isleworth. The role focuses on providing targeted support to pupils with anxiety, EBSA and other needs in a small, nurturing setting. It offers hands-on experience for graduates pursuing psychology, therapy or related fields.

You will work 1:1 and in small groups, building therapeutic relationships and applying trauma-informed, person-centred approaches to help pupils re-engage with learning.

Qualifications

• Psychology or therapy graduate
• Interested in educational psychology/therapy roles
• Experience with children and young people is advantageous

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with anxiety, EBSA, autism and additional learning needs
• Build therapeutic, trusting relationships with young people who may resist engagement
• Support emotional regulation and help pupils with transitions, routines and social situations
• Implement individual support plans in collaboration with teachers, therapists and external professionals
• Encourage communication, independence and confidence through patience and consistency
• Use trauma-informed and person-centred strategies to re-engage pupils with learning
