Job summary

Coombe House School, located on the eastern edge of Shaftesbury, seeks a Generalist KS2/KS3 Teacher to work with small classes (up to 8) of pupils with EHCPs in a specialist provision. The role focuses on inclusive practice, relational strategies and personalised learning in a therapeutic setting.

You will collaborate with therapists and external agencies, plan across KS2/KS3, and support pupils’ academic and social development in a nurturing, protective environment.

Qualifications

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Key Stage 2 and/or 3.
  • Experience working with pupils with SEMH, ASC and EHCPs.
  • Ability to plan, deliver and differentiate an aspirational curriculum across KS2/KS3.
  • Commitment to trauma-informed, relationship-based behaviour management.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, deliver and evaluate an aspirational curriculum across KS2/KS3.
  • Teach across multiple subjects with adaption for individual needs.
  • Create a calm, engaging learning environment where pupils feel safe.
  • Track progress and contribute to EHCP-driven targets and reviews.
