Job summary

Red Snapper Recruitment is seeking an experienced IDVA / Support Worker to join a specialist domestic abuse service in Nottingham. You will support survivors experiencing standard and medium-risk domestic abuse and help them move towards safety and wellbeing.

You will work with survivors, partner agencies and professionals to ensure a holistic, trauma-informed service, with duties including risk assessments, safety plans and liaison with criminal justice processes.

Qualifications

• Build trusting, professional relationships with survivors.
• Assess risk effectively and develop safety plans.
• Work with partner agencies and other professionals.
• Maintain accurate case management and monitoring records.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality support to survivors experiencing standard and medium-risk domestic abuse.
• Complete risk assessments and safety plans, ensuring survivor safety remains at the heart of your work.
• Support survivors through relevant criminal justice processes.
• Work collaboratively with partner agencies, including the police, social care and specialist domestic abuse organisations.
• Help survivors make long-term, positive and sustainable changes in their lives and recover from the impact of domestic abuse.
• Ensure the views and experiences of survivors are central to service development and delivery.
• Gather feedback from service users and contribute to survivor involvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate and timely case records, monitoring information and outcome data.
